mALEFISHIENT, MARK

ive been meaning to make work-related comics forever, so enjoy some choice movie title bastardizations.

(these all actually, seriously, happened, with no humor or awareness on the part of the customer at the time as far as I could tell. so, yes, someone actually asked for a ticket to “Detergent” with a straight face.)

My favorite was someone asking for the movie “Magnifico” at least 3 weeks after the film was out of theatres. We didn’t even get Maleficent at the theatre.

A Summary of Marvel Movies

Until he shows up in the movies Phil Coulson is still dead. Agents of SHIELD not being canon is my Headcanon.

Cookie Monster.

John Oliver.

The last word on news.

(And we agree: his tie looks a lot like a cookie.)

Dude (17, maybe) walks by. Comes back.  Pulls up the chair right next to me.  Sits looking at me.
Dude:  I kind of want to put my hand down my pants.  (I remove one ear bud to make sure he’s really saying that.)   I kind of want to put my hand down my pants.
Me:  That’s FASCINATING.
Dude leaves.  Comes back.  Sits down again.
Dude:  Excuse me.  Is that really fascinating?
Me: No.
Dude leaves.

Thank you to the other person who was nearby, who asked me if I knew him, if I was okay, and said he’d be happy to say he witnessed this.  I told the manager in the library.  No idea what happened after that.  I did find out dude had been smoking in the library earlier, so he’s just all kinds of charming.  Was I supposed to be flattered?

I think he just left. Heard someone say loudly, “Yeah! Let’s cause a riot.”
